This is the last day before my weigh in. I stepped on the scale this morning and had shed 2 more pounds putting my total at 40 pounds lost. That leaves me with 5 pounds of water weight to get rid of to hit my goal of 45 pounds in 30 days.
At 11:30 last night I had my last drink of water. This morning I swished some water around my mouth to freshen up my mouth a bit. I think ate a piece of bread with a small amount of peanut butter on it. At this point all that matters is the weight of the food itself and peanut butter packs some of the most calories per weight while still having some nutritional value. I might have another slice of bread at noon but from then on it is fasting until I weigh in.
I am going to take a hot shower this morning to get the pores opened up. I am going to try and get my work done between 9 AM and 12 PM and then come home and weigh myself. If things work out for me I will return to work and crank on my trucks heater and use it as a "ghetto sauna" to start sweating out some more. I hope that between the bodies natural process of eliminating water through urination and the make shift sauna that by time I get home I will be close to my goal. If I am at my goal I can relatively coast through the night. The body will continue to piss away a couple more pounds and I will come in safely under. I am still over at 4 pm I may suit up in some sweat shirts and sweat pants and mow the lawn. The chance of rain is lower today and it should be shower that might be a good way to get out another pound or two of sweat although at the same time it will exponentially increase my thirst.
If I do end up mowing the lawn (or weather does not permit me to) and am still over afterwards then I have a couple options. I can go driving around with the heater cranked up some more, I could take some extremely hot baths (poor man's jacuzzi), or I could throw on some layers of clothes and hit the airdyne bike. Any of those methods will produce the desired results but the first two are the safer too methods (with the hot bath probably being the safest). The problem with mowing the lawn and hitting the bike is that not only does it heat the outside of the body but it also heats the internal organs. Drawing water that helps organs provide vital functions is not exactly the safest thing at times. Thankfully with less than 10 pounds to get the risk is substantially less.
I will update the blog throughout the day to show my progress.
