This is the last day before my weigh in. I stepped on the scale this morning and had shed 2 more pounds putting my total at 40 pounds lost. That leaves me with 5 pounds of water weight to get rid of to hit my goal of 45 pounds in 30 days.
At 11:30 last night I had my last drink of water. This morning I swished some water around my mouth to freshen up my mouth a bit. I think ate a piece of bread with a small amount of peanut butter on it. At this point all that matters is the weight of the food itself and peanut butter packs some of the most calories per weight while still having some nutritional value. I might have another slice of bread at noon but from then on it is fasting until I weigh in.
I am going to take a hot shower this morning to get the pores opened up. I am going to try and get my work done between 9 AM and 12 PM and then come home and weigh myself. If things work out for me I will return to work and crank on my trucks heater and use it as a "ghetto sauna" to start sweating out some more. I hope that between the bodies natural process of eliminating water through urination and the make shift sauna that by time I get home I will be close to my goal. If I am at my goal I can relatively coast through the night. The body will continue to piss away a couple more pounds and I will come in safely under. I am still over at 4 pm I may suit up in some sweat shirts and sweat pants and mow the lawn. The chance of rain is lower today and it should be shower that might be a good way to get out another pound or two of sweat although at the same time it will exponentially increase my thirst.
If I do end up mowing the lawn (or weather does not permit me to) and am still over afterwards then I have a couple options. I can go driving around with the heater cranked up some more, I could take some extremely hot baths (poor man's jacuzzi), or I could throw on some layers of clothes and hit the airdyne bike. Any of those methods will produce the desired results but the first two are the safer too methods (with the hot bath probably being the safest). The problem with mowing the lawn and hitting the bike is that not only does it heat the outside of the body but it also heats the internal organs. Drawing water that helps organs provide vital functions is not exactly the safest thing at times. Thankfully with less than 10 pounds to get the risk is substantially less.
I will update the blog throughout the day to show my progress.

4 - 16 - 13 Weight Update with 2 Days To Go
Wow! I can't believe this journey is almost over. There has been a range of emotions throughout this last month. At times, especially early on, I felt that making my goal of 45 pounds in 30 days would be tough but I would do it. Then about 2 weeks in the enormity of my task set in and I felt like there was no way I would make it. Then a few days later I would hit a whoosh and my confidence would be restored. Then the stress would build back up in me and I would worry that I couldn't do this. Back and forth I have went throughout the entire process. Stress and more stress building up inside me with occasional bouts of relief. Now I have only 2 more days to go. It is Tuesday morning and I weigh in on Thursday morning. I woke up and weighed myself to see where I was at.
Results= -2 pounds from yesterday.
Grand Total To This Point= -38 pounds
Pounds to Go (for the mathematically challenged)= 7
As you can see this puts me well within water cutting range to make my goal even if I don't drop anymore pounds over night. obviously the more I lose tonight the better off I am because that means less water I have to shed. That is a tremendous help since Wednesday I have to work and I have to be cautious about dehydrating myself too much up until 4 o'clock since I work a physical job. I have cut weight before while working. Generally around noon I will drive around in my work truck with the heater cranked all the way up to make a "ghetto sauna". I just have to be careful because if I get assigned a really physical job I will have no choice but to sip on some water. I passed out once from dehydration while working. I wasn't doing a weight cut then, actually I didn't train at all back then, I was dehydrated from drinking alcohol the night before. It was a very scary experience. I felt like I was dying. Hopefully I don't have to worry about that tomorrow and I can kind of coast through my work day. Lord knows I have earned it by working my ass off the last few weeks.
Yesterday I laid out my diet and it will remain the same today. I did not drink a full 2 gallons of water but I came very close. That seems to be the toughest part so far. The water just sits on your stomach and eventually gives you a headache and makes you feel awful. Plus I work in the field and it kind of sucks having to make a bunch of beelines for the bathroom throughout the day. Today my goal is 3 gallons of water. We will see if I can even get past 2 though! Either way I think I am in a superhydrated state. The last time I did a weight cut I actually went into it a bit dehydrated rather than superhydrated and it made it that much more difficult. Hopefully this should be a much easier cut this time (plus I have less weight to lose!).

4 - 15 - 13
I am down another pound as of this morning. I am not sure why but I ended up very dehydrated this morning with a terrible headache. I drank almost a gallon and a half of water yesterday so I am not sure why I was so dehydrated by the morning.
Today I start eating a low residue food diet. That is basically food that is easily digestible. Usually that means liquid protein shakes and simple carbohydrates. This morning I had one scoop of protein powder mixed with water and on the side I had one slice of bread with a teaspoon of jelly. I will repeat this 2-3 more times today while downing 2 gallons of distilled water.
9 more pounds to go. My weigh in is in 3 more days. On Wednesday morning I will know exactly how much weight I need "sweat out".

4 - 14 - 13 Weight Update
Dropped down another 2 pounds since Friday. Sitting at exactly 10 more pounds to go. One step closer.
Diet has been basically halved for my meals 2 and 3 since Friday. For the week before that I had been slowly increasing my daily calories from around 750 a day up to a 1000 calories a day to get my metabolism revving a bit. On Friday I scaled the calories back lower than ever. Here was my diet for yesterday.
Meal 1- Protein Pudding (roughly 225 calories)
Meal 2- 1 Whole Egg and 1/2 Cup of Egg White (roughly 140 calories)
Meal 3- 6 ounces of tilapia with asparagus on the side. I had a special made sauce to go with the tilapia. (roughly 250 calories)
Total for the day - somewhere between 615 to 665 calories
Today I started upping my water intake. Making sure to drink a gallon and a half of water (a gallon of which is distilled). Tomorrow I go on a low residue food intake and up the distilled water intake to 2 gallons. Tuesday will be the same until 8 PM and then no more water or food until the weigh in (if I absolutely have to I can eat a could pieces of white bread with a coating of peanut butter on them- at that point the only thing that matters is the weight of the food itself).

4 - 11 - 13 Diet and Training
5:00 AM - Protein Pudding
3:30 PM- 2 Whole Eggs and 1 Cup of Egg Whites
6:00 PM- Trained Delts
8:00 PM- 4 ounces of lean ground turkey and asparagus.
I cannot list my shoulder training for today. I am following a program outlined for my shoulders by a pro-bodybuilder and I am not supposed to share it with others. I will just say that it is quite intense. Much less weight than I am used to using but extremely tough. I nearly threw up about halfway through it and had to fight back that sensation several times before finishing.
I am reducing my total calories slowly each day. I was having my protein pudding recipe plus a cup of egg whites but I have eliminated the egg whites from the morning meal. Lunch has remained the same although starting tomorrow I will reduce it to 1 whole egg and 1/2 cup of egg whites. Dinner portions have been halved from 8 ounces down to 4 ounces. No free meals/cheat days/refeeds from now until my weigh in on April 18th. This was supposed to be my last day training as well but since I missed training yesterday due to falling asleep I ended up doing shoulders tonight and will do my arms in the morning and then I am done. Just going to reduce my food intake, stay well hydrated and then on Monday I am going to drink a lot of water and then start cutting back on Tuesday and eliminate all water and food on Wednesday and start the process of sweating out the last few pounds. If all goes well I will weigh in on Thursday and have dropped a total of 45 pounds in 30 days. Failure is not really an option so I am not going to consider that. Updates might be a bit spotty in the next few days but I will make sure to post my Friday morning weight loss update and then for sure post on Wednesday about my weight cutting process.
